What is Whisper?

Whisper is a cutting-edge automatic speech recognition (ASR) system, trained on a vast dataset of 680,000 hours of multilingual and multitask data sourced from the web.

This extensive and varied training data results in a highly robust system that can transcribe speech with ease, even in the presence of accents, background noise, or technical language. Furthermore, Whisper is capable of transcribing speech in multiple languages and even translating those languages into English.

Transcribing Features

With Word Express, transcribing audio or video files is a breeze. All you have to do is click on the "Transcribe" button on the tab ribbon, and then upload your audio file (such as MP3) or video file (such as MP4). Word Express will quickly and accurately transcribe your file word for word.

• This transcription can be saved as a file in one of the common formats (.docx, .pdf, .txt, .odt, .html) for later retrieval.
• User can insert selected generated text into Word document at cursor. If nothing is selected, the entire generated text will be inserted into Word document at cursor.
• User can load one of the saved files back into Result window for further manipulation or insertion.
